Join one of Europe’s leading data centre delivery specialists on a major multi-site build programme across the Netherlands. This fully integrated contractor provides full turnkey solutions – from design through to construction and commissioning – and is delivering over 500MW of active IT load across the continent.
As part of a high-performance health & safety culture, the business is now seeking a Regional Health & Safety Manager to take the lead across operations in the Amsterdam region. You’ll be supporting the safe delivery of complex, high-value hyperscale builds while embedding best-in-class EHS standards across a multi-disciplinary environment.
As Regional H&S Manager, you will take ownership of all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) activities on major data centre construction projects. You’ll ensure EHS procedures are embedded across subcontractors, site teams, and project managers – working collaboratively to build a safety-first culture that reflects both legal compliance and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with company and project-specific Safety Management Systems and relevant EHS legislation.
Lead site audits, inspections, and risk assessments, driving corrective actions and behavioural safety improvements.
Oversee permit-to-work systems, method statements, COSHH assessments, and safe plans of action.
Deliver toolbox talks, daily briefings, and site inductions, ensuring all teams are briefed, resourced, and engaged.
Provide oversight on subcontractor compliance, supporting integration into site-wide H&S systems.
Maintain statutory inspection records and lead incident investigations, reporting and corrective actions.
Drive continuous improvement and waste reduction initiatives across health, safety, and environmental programmes.
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar H&S leadership role within data centres, industrial, commercial, or pharmaceutical construction.
A recognised third-level qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety or a related field.
Strong working knowledge of EU safety legislation and statutory requirements.
Proven ability to manage EHS delivery across multiple contractors and technical disciplines.
Experience working in a mission-critical or high-tech construction environment is strongly preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong IT and reporting/document control proficiency.
